Overseas adventures
Our number one priority is the health and well-being of our guests, team and the wider community. In response to the continuing impact of the global health crisis, we have implemented a temporary pause on overseas holidays. We will continue to monitor the Government guidelines. We are ready to start planning with you when we feel it is safe to travel to those destinations again.
We travel the world with our guests and it’s a blast!
Our guests often tell us they want to travel overseas, so we've travelled to Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand, England, Hong Kong and America, and this year we're also looking forward to travelling to a new destination, Ireland.
We work hard to empower our guests to be as independent and self governing as possible when they're travelling with us. Families and carers are an important part of this planning, both before the trip and while we are away. We always let you know how we can be contacted at anytime while we are away on holiday.
In order to reduce costs, we often share the holiday plan to see if other individuals would be interested in joining in. Making friends, meeting staff and sharing plans for the adventure are all part of the experience and this process starts before the holiday itself.
If you choose to travel in a group, we mostly travel in a 1:3 ratio of carer to guest, depending on the level of support needed. We try to match the individuals in a group with others who are like minded and we've often found that the groups we've taken away have returned to travel with us again and again.
Everyone who travels on holiday with us receives a photo-book so they can share their holiday memories with friends and family back home. It's our way of saying thank you for joining us and we hope you had an amazing time!
Tell us your travel dreams and we'll be in contact to help them come true!
